ABOUT SHANNON
Hi! I'm Shannon, a right brained, empathetic people lover. Thanks for visiting my site. Photo sessions with me include laughter + controlled chaos. Serving the Chicagoland area and Bucktown neighborhood.
At the age of eleven years old, I received my first camera and have enjoyed being behind the lens ever since. I am a natural light, self-taught photographer and became serious about photography in 2003 after a trip to Kenya, East Africa.
I truly enjoy working with children and families and my success is due to photographing families as they grow from one year to the next. Beyond my many qualifications and consistent professionalism, I enjoy when clients become friends.
In 2013, one of my photos was selected as a "Top Ten Finalist" under Cutest Family category for a Tiny Prints competition. I also had a photo selected on Mpix's Facebook page as one of "13 of 2013 Toddlers." Most recently, I was interviewed by Voyage Chicago Magazine.
From a career in sports medicine, to organ donation and transplant, I have worn many hats. My day job now includes the living side of organ donation, and helping kidney patients on the transplant wait list, find living donors. Back in 2008, I donated one of my kidneys to a friend's friend, and now I get to help others find their living donors and continue to save lives, when I'm not behind the camera taking photos.
April 2027 will be my 16th year in business and I'm looking forward to more years to come!
