First session for spring and the weather and sunlight was perfect!!  So was the family!! :)  Let me tell you, this couple has their hands full!  I was worn out after this session and definitely got my work out for the day.  Mr. "R" is very active, funny and intrigued by almost anything!  Rocks, airplanes, sirens, dandelions and bubbles to name a few.  It was really cute hearing him try to say my name too.  I'm so glad I was able to capture his personality well and also some cute photos for the family to treasure and look back on when he goes to college.  Enjoy!

Has it really been since November since my last post???  I admit, it is so much easier posting pics to my Facebook page instead of the blog and I'll try to be better about posting here.  So...please check my Facebook page out if you haven't yet!  www.facebook.com/sdwyattphotography

I usually don't post personal things on this site, but today I figured it is okay. ;)  Last week I traveled to California with my dear friend to watch her run the Big Sur Marathon.  Her and her friend actually decided to run the 10.6 miler (I still wouldn't be able to do that!) but it will still fun watching them reach the finish line.  As I stood there waiting for them, a ball of emotions built up inside of me thinking of the Boston Marathon.  I was so happy to see them run and make the finish and they proudly wear their "Boston Strong" headbands!  So proud of them!

After the race, we drove back to San Fran and took a little scenic route to see the Redwoods.  I saw them when I was 3 y.o. and was still fathomed by their beauty!  If you look close enough, you can see a fence at the bottom of the tree to give you an idea just how amazing these trees are.  And if you haven't seen them yet, I highly recommend seeing them as a bucket list idea.

Lastly, confession:  I do not like flying to California.  When I do, I need to bring stuff with me to keep me from being bored.  I'm used to 2 hour flights and this flight was 4 hrs and 45 min!!!  Fortunately, I brought some editing to do which kept me busy half of the trip.  That is, until I had 3 min. of battery left on my laptop.  After I was finished editing a session, I somehow found some old photos on my computer from 2011!   I found this picture of Miss "M" (you can see her original post here:   Miss "M").  It is amazing how far I have come with my photography and I'm excited to see where it will go!  I was able to take an older photo and add some new editing to it.  I loved it!  I love her face as she looks at her mom.  Her mom is actually one of the people that encouraged me the most with my photography and got me started!  So thank you Angela!

Enough blabbing and time to post the photos already!  Enjoy!!!!

This is something I have been wanting to do for awhile and it still needs some work, but this is what I have thus far.  Meet my friends!  The furry friends!!!

These are all the dogs I take care of when their parents go on vacation.  There are a few that I don't have pictures of (because my external hard drive crashed) :'( but I can always add more pictures later.  I love dogs and love each of these dogs as if they are my own.

"A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself."  - Josh Billings
Picture
This is Sam dog - he is my number 1 dog (but don't tell him I take care of other dogs, he'll be jealous). Sam is so funny! He sneezes when he gets excited because he doesn't bark. But he doesn't know he can bark, because he barks in his sleep all the time.
Picture
Meet Laddie, my Uncle's dog. This is him sleeping. He loves sleeping on his back and when he is completely sleeping, he puts his right paw straight up int he air.
Picture
Miss Bailey! I haven't seen Miss B for awhile, but she still gets credit because her and I go way back! She is a trouble maker. If you leave food on the counter and leave for 2 seconds, it will not be there when you return. And watch out, her tail is dangerous!!! Wags all the time!!
Picture
HERSCHEL!! Enough said! Who needs an alarm on the house when this dog will greet you by the door?!?! Watch out!!! My fav is when I get to the house and yell "Herschy!" He sits in the room until I walk in, he sees me, and then he runs towards me shaking his butt! That's how you know you're in Herschel's club - when he gives you the butt wiggle.
Picture
This is Jackson. He stays at Aunt Shan's. He also thinks Aunt Shan won't know he was sleeping on her bed (he's not allowed on the bed). He thinks just because I didn't see him on the bed, I won't know he was there. He also likes to shred the tissues in the bathroom. He's funny! This picture took about 40 min. to take because I learned he is terrified of the camera for some reason.
Picture
Twin labs! Meet Cooper - he will always have a toy/ball in his mouth and will love you if you play catch! He also loves the smell of shampoo and deodorant.
Picture
And this is Reagan, Coopy's sister. She is the "mother" of the house. She loves giving you love bites and always finds a way of stepping on your feet. And when she sleeps, she sounds like a snorning human!
And then there is Titan.  His mommy is a dear friend to me and my photography mentor.  I figured this video was better than a picture.  I was on the phone with Cooper & Reagan's mom to schedule a doggy play date, and I kept hearing a weird sound.  I turned around and realized (I was talking with my hands I guess) he was chasing my shadow!  Titan loves chasing shadows and looooves the snow!

The fall season has well been on it's way and I have been super behind on posting on my blog.  However, I am posting more on Facebook.  So if you would like to follow me there like my FB page on the link on my home page :)  Or here: www.facebook.com/sdwyattphotography

Here is Little Miss "AJ" she is just the cutest little button.  We had a fun morning and she was great!  So excited to finally use my girly bows!!!  From Sew Whimsey.  Have fun!  I'll try to post more later....when fall sports are over....

Meet baby boy "T" - what a precious little manny man!  His big sisters are pretty precious too and are such good sisters.  As many of you know, I work as an athletic trainer at a high school and with the start of football season approaching, I couldn't resist getting this cute little outfit by My Mady Michelle (check out her website here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/mymadymichelle).  Have fun!

The "R" family has returned and are expecting an addition in December! :)  So keep an eye out for more pictures then as well and meet the newest member.  "D" Is becoming such a big girl!  Last time we had her ballerina bear in the picture and this time we have her Barney.  It was a super hot day for these pictures but we enjoyed the sunshine near the zoo and just hanging out and taking pictures.  Enjoy!

Just a little project I thought of and wanted to do.  It turned out perfect!  :)  What a fun day it was too!!!  "R" and "S" are great and super fun and funny!  I could not have photographed a more perfect couple!!!  And it was the perfect location too!!!  I love this song and thought it would be cute to capture it in photos :)

*Please note, engagement (like) photos are not my specialty*

I don't even know how to begin this post!  Here we go....before I started working at the high school, I was a social worker for three years for adults with mental illness and developmental disabilities.  Because of my work at the agency, I developed a huge passion for this population.  They are some of the happiest people I know, and in return, they make me happy.  Once I started working at the high school, for about three years, as best as I could, I would volunteer on Wed. with the special ed. class.  I love these kids!  I had an idea about two years ago, that I wanted to take "senior portraits" of them.  With my passion for special needs, high schoolers and photography, I knew with the perfect timing, we would be able to make this work.  The teachers and I finally selected a date and time and the kids were so excited to have their pictures professionally taken and to get all dressed up!  It was a beautiful spring day and the weather was perfect and of course, so were the kids.  You may notice a few pictures taken of me working with the kids as well.  I wanted to capture what goes into taking these pictures.  Thanks to Michael Carmody (check out his page:  http://opportunityknocksnow.org/) for assisting with the background pics.  Also, thanks to Miss "D" and her classroom as well and all the TAs that assisted to make this session a huge success!  The biggest thanks goes to the kids!  Going thru the photos, my eyes welled up at the beauty of the kids and I felt so blessed I was able to capture these priceless moments.  Enjoy!

Little Miss "M" turned 1!!!  We had a nice day at the park with her balloons and her Crumbs cupcake - which she loved as you can see!  She is so cute and precious and I'm so glad I was able to capture her first bite of sweets!  So cute!  Have fun!

I can't believe it has been 6 months already since this little girl was born!  I took her newborn photos!  These kids are too cute!  I love that their eye colors are so different from one another.  Meet their dog "H" - I dogsit for him too.  What a model!  Enjoy!
