I had the pleasure of photographing these cute girlies again. :) First of all, I can't believe how big Big Sister Miss "M" is! I photographed her when she turned one! Then last year, Miss "T" when she was a wee little newborn and now her one year session. Where does the time go?! These two are so funny! Miss "M" is always a little shy at first, and then warms up to me and her singing is to die for. And then we have Miss "T" that likes to do yoga poses. We also had a cake smash for her and she loooooved it! My favorite was when she tried picking the cake up off the plate! They both made my day happier this day. Thanks for brightening it and being such wonderful, fun clients. ;) Enjoy!!!
Are you ready for some major cuteness overload?! I went out earlier this month to visit the munchkies and photograph Miss "C" for her one year photos already! Where does the time go??!! These kids melt my heart, but I'm pretty sure I say that every time. Wouldn't you? Be prepared for this to be, maybe, the longest photo post I have done!! I just can't pick only one photo!
This little man completely melted my heart and he is only 9 days new! He was a very good baby, even though he pooped and peed on me. I had so much fun photographing him and getting to know his parents. They are so lucky to have such a cute, sweet little man!
My friend Maria at http://www.mariapetersonphotography.com came and assisted me today as well. She's amazing! I love her dearly, and want to thank her so much for coming over to visit and also assisting with today's session. We all had a fun time! Mister "M" was exhausted after his modeling debut, (as well as his parents and this photog). ;)
I had the opportunity to photograph this little cutie this week, even though it was brutally cold outside, we still kept the session. :) Meet Miss "C." She is so sweet and so is her sister. Her sister actually came to the session, which I don't normally allow, but Big Sister "E" was spectacular and listened very well and stayed entertained for the whole 3 hours of the session!!!
My friend over at Devoted Knits (http://www.devotedknits.com) was in town this weekend, so I was really excited to use all my new newborn props I bought from her too. Definitely check out her site if you haven't yet. I love her work, I love working with her and most of all, I love her!
Enjoy the photos! :)
First post for 2014 and it includes a first birthday!!! Meet Mr. "Q" :) This little guy has an amazing history and he doesn't even know it yet! First of all, I met his parents about 10 years ago! His dad hired me for the swim team he coaches and his parents became dear friends of mine. Q's mom was the one that convinced me to finally go digital with my SLR! Thank goodness! ;)
I was very honored to be able to take Q's one year photos. It seemed to be a long time waiting, but timing is everything. When the timing is right, it is worth the wait. Every second! I have seen the journey Q's parents went thru while waiting for him before he was even in existence and the three of them could not have been more meant for each other.
It is amazing how it only takes just one day for your life to change and it was one day that did just that to Q's parents. Q was born on February 13, 2013, they learned about him on February 15th and by the 18th, they brought him home. You can read the full story here: http://searchingforthemissingpiece.blogspot.com
Needless to say, this was very special for me to able to do this for his parents. He didn't really like the texture of the cake, so I'll spare you pictures of him crying, but I couldn't have been more excited for a ONE year session than this one! Happy FIRST birthday Mister Q and happy FIRST year and many, many more with the best parents you can ask for.
Oh, Miss "M" - what a precious beauty! She was so perfect for this session. I was quite excited for this session because I met her parents a few years ago when her dad was still in his residency. Now he is a part of the orthopedic fellowship program I am associated with and I get to work alongside him! It's awesome! Needless to say, I have been waiting to photograph this little beauty before I even knew I was newborn photographer ;) I loved every minute of it! These are my two favorite photos from her session.
Awesome knit props from my good friend, Trae over at Devoted Knits (www.devotedknits.com). Her first little bonnet, I actually picked out the yarn and watched Trae knit it for me, so I was very excited to finally use it. :)
This little cutie is just learning how to sit up and he is 6 months old already! I can't believe how big he is already because it seems like yesterday I photographed his newborn photos. He has one of the cutest smiles I know and it was so easy photographing him!! His mom and I can't wait for his 1 year photos and the cake smashing! Get ready for some cuteness overload!
This newborn session was a very exciting one. Meet Little Miss "C" - her mom and I went to high school together and she has been my best friend since! I was not into photography that much when her two other children were born, so I was really excited to this for her. Such an honor! Miss "C" slept the whole time! It was so fun just having my friend in my presence and having her see me in my photog element. :) Love you two!
One thing that I love about photography is when I get to see my little clients grow up. This is Little Man "Z." I met him last year when he turned the big ONE (and he couldn't run around yet). ;) How fast do these kids grow?! This year when I photographed him, he RAN THE WHOLE ENTIRE TIME!!!! I'm sure you can't tell by the photos he wasn't running around, but if you were there in person, you could see it and see how sweaty myself and his parents were! I love his little "manniness" in these photos, especially with his tie on. He definitely has one of the cutest smiles! Enjoy!
What a fun weekend! This weekend was my birthday weekend and I drove down to St. Louis to visit my dear friend, Angela and her family. I went to my first Cardinals game, and was also able to photograph her three kids.
I met Angela two years ago when she moved to Oak Park while her husband participated in a prestigious orthopedic sports medicine program at Midwest Orthopedics at RUSH. We became instant friends, and have been friends since! She is also one of the first people to get my business going, started my Yelp page and also got me some of my first referrals. :)
It was a fantastic weekend and fun time with the kids and photographing them. I also go to photograph Miss "A's" one year old cake smashing session as she is a September baby as well. :)
