Has it really been since November since my last post??? I admit, it is so much easier posting pics to my Facebook page instead of the blog and I'll try to be better about posting here. So...please check my Facebook page out if you haven't yet! www.facebook.com/sdwyattphotography
I usually don't post personal things on this site, but today I figured it is okay. ;) Last week I traveled to California with my dear friend to watch her run the Big Sur Marathon. Her and her friend actually decided to run the 10.6 miler (I still wouldn't be able to do that!) but it will still fun watching them reach the finish line. As I stood there waiting for them, a ball of emotions built up inside of me thinking of the Boston Marathon. I was so happy to see them run and make the finish and they proudly wear their "Boston Strong" headbands! So proud of them!
After the race, we drove back to San Fran and took a little scenic route to see the Redwoods. I saw them when I was 3 y.o. and was still fathomed by their beauty! If you look close enough, you can see a fence at the bottom of the tree to give you an idea just how amazing these trees are. And if you haven't seen them yet, I highly recommend seeing them as a bucket list idea.
Lastly, confession: I do not like flying to California. When I do, I need to bring stuff with me to keep me from being bored. I'm used to 2 hour flights and this flight was 4 hrs and 45 min!!! Fortunately, I brought some editing to do which kept me busy half of the trip. That is, until I had 3 min. of battery left on my laptop. After I was finished editing a session, I somehow found some old photos on my computer from 2011! I found this picture of Miss "M" (you can see her original post here: Miss "M"). It is amazing how far I have come with my photography and I'm excited to see where it will go! I was able to take an older photo and add some new editing to it. I loved it! I love her face as she looks at her mom. Her mom is actually one of the people that encouraged me the most with my photography and got me started! So thank you Angela!
Enough blabbing and time to post the photos already! Enjoy!!!!
